Survey Bureau De Keersmaecker was established in 1959 in Antwerp as a small company with a long standing know-how in the steel industry, linked to a steel processing agency. In 1976 it merged into a larger, juridical partnership company. Meanwhile the firm gradually but successfully delivered considerable damage survey assignments for global Insurance Companies, International Brokers and harbour based players, such as Stevedores, Container Terminals and Logistic companies. The start of a long term specialisation.
Today we house 10 permanent specialists from different fields of expertise who conduct damage surveys in various branches: Marine Cargo, Road and Air Cargo, Containers, Hull & Machinery, Aviation, Heavy Rolling Equipment, General & Product Liability, ICT Infrastructure, Civil Engineering and Food Technology.
Operating from the world’s largest steel and breakbulk processing harbour, The Port of Antwerp, we are located at the very heart of industrial Europe near the Port of Ghent, Zeebrugge, Rotterdam, Flushing, Le Havre, Duisburg, Bremen and airports in Europe. A necessity for our worldwide commissioned field of work.
Throughout the years, many assignments have been carried out all over of Europe, Africa, America and Asia. We also have a network of correspondents on all continents who can assist us whenever required.
